Randomly decided to give Wu Tang's 2017 "The Saga Continues" album a shot.

Came across a homophobic, conservative speech in the middle. Lovely stuff:

Not all that surprising considering the clan's association with the misogynistic Five-Percent Nation.

Time to wash that crap with some fast angry music. Please yell some more in my ears, Yeji from Slant.

@axx Ghostface’s new song with Nas had a pretty outdated slur in the middle of it. Not a great look in 2024.

That being said, I don’t think the whole group can be held accountable for the misdeeds of its individual members.

Are all of them associated with the 5%? 😅

@unreachablecode I have no idea, but i'm going to chose to pin it to the group because it's a skit, and not a track with anyone in particular. It's therefore a choice they collectively stand for ;)

The weirdest bit is there is another track not long after where there's a line about freedom and happiness for all humanity or something like that.

Oh and then, R-Mean drops some casually anti-semitism: https://genius.com/12920084

It's not a great look, as you put it.

@axx shitshow! Hard to find a rapper who doesn’t have dirt on their name these days.
@unreachablecode Aes seems like a decent guy. Busdriver too :)
