Can I get an honest opinion? Trying to decide if I want laser correction surgery.

Glasses are so good for hiding fine lines around your eyes. Do I look better with or without them?

@briannawu I think that you look good with the glasses, but what matters more is what you would prefer.
@briannawu You can always wear non-prescription glasses if it's just for looks 🤷🏻‍♂️
@briannawu I would say that get the vision corrected, and then put non-corrective lenses into your frames. Best of both worlds!
@briannawu
Get orthokeratology lenses instead - you wear them only at night, and they reshape your corneas. Nothing permanent (you can always quit), so no risk of permanent loss of vision.
And literally everyone I’ve met who has had laser correction has sorrowfully noted that eventually they will need glasses again.
@briannawu Lasik was the best thing I've ever done. The world is so clear without glasses!
@briannawu I’m always a sucker for glasses, so in my totally-biased opinion: keep ‘em. (Or as other replies have suggested, why not both? Get the eye surgery and put non-corrective lenses in the frames.)
@briannawu Best thing I ever did was doing laser eye correcting. But now I’m old and need reading glasses on and off. But my distance vision is still perfect!
@briannawu
A non-answer: get the surgery, then wear non-corrective glasses when you want.
@briannawu laser surgery. It’ll give you years of peace. And you can still use glasses if you like.
@briannawu Really up to you but I vote “with”

@briannawu With, say I.

Having said that, I’ve worn glasses/contacts since high school to correct near-sightedness and am now old enough that I also need to wear reading glasses at times while contacts are in. (The irony of that isn’t lost on me.)

Point being, I’d suggest you not only consider how you look with or without but also just plain convenience for yourself (of dealing with glasses or having to contend with contacts but then also maybe glasses still anyway later in life) going forward.
