Now, to be fair, there are plenty of examples where common sense is just fine. Don't drink 12 beers in one sitting (even if you can). Don't eat hamburgers and fries every night. Get good sleep and do some exercise.
It really doesn't work with public policy due to the law of large numbers combining with unintended consequences.
