After being published on my channel for over two years, YouTube put a strike on my channel for my video showing people how to set up Jellyfin on their NAS, for promoting "dangerous or harmful content".

Video was posted here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VkY1vTpCJY) and had nothing about bypassing DRM, stealing content, or bypassing subscription services (other than a call to stop using Netflix, Disney+, etc. because they keep jacking up rates while providing less quality).

Better than Disney+: Jellyfin on my NAS

@geerlingguy you do have the edgy content thanks to rsj - I agree utube is out of control - explore other alternatives and diversify. #god fearing
@geerlingguy try to appeal - you may win but overall this is a control issue - they know you are super compliant but they want to show you who is boss andd you have no choice with a big family plus rsj to support #internecine warfare #phyricvictory
@gary_alderson Yeah, I've submitted an appeal, it says they'll get back in 72 hours.
@geerlingguy you should think about making office pc fix center plus service small biz networks and build custom servers - this is still decent money and would get you more inculcated as no 1 gun in stl IT for tricky problems - if youtube died tomorrow you would do just fine - probably a good way to look at it, don't let youtube take up too much space or time, think about startup opps as well and alternatives - diversifying makes sense esp since they have a lock on ads on web - that complicates things #passive income #code base
