I think if you tell a lie so toxic that a network that had promised not to correct any of your lies nevertheless feels morally obligated to do so, the whole event should be paused while a giant red L is painted on your forehead and you should have to do the rest of the debate like that.
You know you fucked up when you forced a national news anchor to make a positive affirmation of truth as something that is more objectively correct, and therefore better, than lies—why, that's media bias! the very worst thing any news network can do in this age of modern journalism.
@JuliusGoat

Ideally also add a helium effect to the microphone feed.
@JuliusGoat I wish that when Vance had whined “yOu wEreN’T sUPpOsEd tO fACt cHeCK mE!!!” the moderators replied, “Senator, this is just a reality check.”

@JuliusGoat

We need to bring back some of the old ways.

@futurebird @JuliusGoat how old are we taking here?
Because I'm open to go back a couple thousand years, in regards to handling lying populists.
@JuliusGoat lol, as a Canadian I was curious (not enough to watch the debate) if Vance was going to spread another vicious lie about another community in America but it looks like he took the lazy route & stuck with lie Trump's already spread from his losing debate so it's good they called him on it.

@JuliusGoat

They'd wear it as a badge of honor and you'd have their fanatical numbnut followers do it as a sybol of belonging the day after at the next ralley
