#AnxietyAttacks interested in who else suffers from anxiety attacks, & how do you cope with them?
@Librarychick Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I use the tips I learned there. The breathing technique taught also helps stop panic attacks before they take over. Medication is effective for some people. You can Google the breathing technique for panic attacks.
@CarolynStirling Thank you❤️ Have tried many of these techniques over time. But sometimes it just seems so hard.... But that said, you've reminded me I need to get back to the basics
@Librarychick I know some times it’s very hard. Believe me I know.
@Librarychick yes. A long time ago I had Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and found it incredibly helpful for dealing with it. It’s not for everyone, but see if you can get a book from the library and see if it works for you. I still use some of the techniques now. ❤️
@ygathgoch Thank you❤️ I've found such books helpful in the past too. Sometimes I just get so tired of this... For me it'll never end, it's about learning to manage it... It helps knowing there are others out there who get it😊
@Librarychick I've experienced panic attacks in the past, big and bad at the time, I didn't know what it was - I thought my heart was either going to stop or explode...
Recognising triggers, working on strategies to avoid wherever possible or desensitise with therapy, counseling.
