@catswhocode @indubitablyodin I guess you are, but I guess too many people with money problems rely on that hope to solve them all for once... And then: Surprise. Even if it happens!
@catswhocode @javipoloxyz There have been studies that show there's a possible upper limit to relative happiness and pleasure from financial gain alone - probably why they keep seeking more and more excessive habits. An article I just read about a private island for billionaires off Florida highlighted just how paranoid their wealth has made them (and all those of similar ilk) and how the more they wall themselves away the more they create terror in their lives.
So, on one hand, yeah.
But I also think there are people who relish the ability to abuse their power - who like being cruel and who like being in control. For them, it's probably not the money that brings happiness but rather the power that the money allows them to wield.
