Level 98 🇺🇦@jimalkhalili @sellathechemist A suggestion (which you're obviously free to disregard)... relatively quickly follow a range of interesting / different people (try start with some who you've previously followed elsewhere) as well as using and following Hashtags e.g. #Physics... this will allow you, more and more, to generally use Home timeline for mixture of their posts and boosts and find others to follow rather than constantly having to wade through firehose of local mastodon.social timeline.
