Those outside the Catholic loop may miss what he's doing here. This prayer to St. Michael has long circulated in right-wing Catholic circles (which is to say, most white Catholic circles now) as a prayer against the devil and demons, and a talisman against communism. In posting that prayer, Trump is clearly hoping to turn out the white Catholic voters who have, in two election cycles now, voted for him in large numbers.
