Letting this guy be in charge of starlink and spacex is a national security risk. He’s radicalized, erratic, and dangerous. Nationalize both companies and boot him.
He has near total control over essential infrastructure, he has already used it to interfere in foreign policy, and he is stuck in the same right wing intel radicalization spiral as every gamer gather who ever tried to live out a revenge fantasy.

Make him sell off SpaceX and Starlink, he can plug the Twitter hole with the proceeds.

We all dodge a massive national security risk, and he gets to keep his weird incel fiefdom.

Elon Musk’s financial woes at X have Tesla bulls fearing he will liquidate more stock

Plunging U.S. revenue at X risks opening up a "massive hole" on its balance sheet that Musk needs to plug to stave off its financial collapse.

@mcnees I can think of at least two other launch companies where the US government forced divestment because the owners were suspected (not proven, just suspected) of foreign influence.

Musk losing his security clearance would right away remove him from the ability to be a corporate officer at SpaceX. Any forced divestment would be after that.

@simonbp @mcnees this is on a much smaller scale and a different country, but in my old home town a chap was director of a very popular record shop selling and releasing rave music. He got heavily into drugs and the "gangster" lifestyle, and was even shot and injured by a rival (his minder was killed).

Even though he was a victim rather than a criminal, the bank who financed the company had him removed from the board as "unfit" and a business risk and it was sold from straight under him..
