Ex-Harrods employees accuse its late owner, Mohamed Al Fayed, of rape

Five women who worked at the luxury store say they were raped by the billionaire - BBC documentary reveals.

Why was he able to die a ripe old age without the law ever holding him to account?

- Extreme wealth
- Harrods’s HR and PR departments protected him in order to protect an elite business that facilitated the whims and fancies of the elite
- Lawfare used against women and journalists (NDAs)

But I don’t think the strained relationship between the British royal family and police with Al Fayed over the death of his son, Dodi and Diana can be ignored either.

Is it a coincidence that in the decade and beyond that Al Fayed was promoting conspiracy theories about how Dodi and Diana came to die, many women were legally silenced about the sexual assaults and rapes he committed against them?

His arrest during this time would have played into his wild conspiracy theories that so many journalists willingly reported on and readers were prepared to believe.
