I'm not a sci/tech person (except in the manner of Marshall McLuhan) but xkcd has always been interesting, thought-provoking, and frequently points me towards things (areas of study, natural phenomena, maths, etc) I didn't even know existed!
The less the people know about how surveys and operating systems are made, the better they'll sleep at night.
What context will the results end up in,
