Favourite graphics trick from an old WebGL gamedev prototype. Saturated shadows and desaturated light during the day. The opposite at night.
#screenshotsaturdayI think the reason this works is the overexposure and glare from bright daylight kind of overpowers colours, making shadows look more colourful in comparison. While at night there’s not enough light in shadows to see much colour, so then lit things look more colourful.
@jonikorpi Saturated shadows when it's sunny probably emulates bounce light too maybe?
