I tried a #dockerized self-hosted #AppFlowy, hoping for seamless synchronization. However, it didn't sync between my devices, so I switched back to #Obsidian. I like how simple, fast, and yet extendable it is, if necessary.

@paractmol I've been thinking about Obsidian's semi-openness a lot lately. I've realized that as a user I don't mind their licensing model, but as a developer I'd be extremely hesitant to build a plugin for Obsidian (because of the licensing and closed source). I can take my markdown with me, no matter what happens, but plugins not so much. I'm so grateful others in the community do build extensions though!
@joshleecreates Yeah, that’s an interesting perspective. On the other hand, I like that the plugins automatically get installed on multiple devices, so I don’t need to think about it. I haven’t tried syncing with anyone else; maybe then, it would pose a problem, and I would be more inclined to try Appflowy once again. But that’s for the future.
