Women are 73% more likely to be severely injured in a car crash, and 17% more likely to die than men. All because car companies have been resisting testing for women since forever. I’m not surprised on several levels. As I’ve gotten older and have larger breasts, seatbelts basically are impossible to put at the right spot on me anymore. And that’s just one example.
Apparently there’s a current She Drives act in the senate that’s aimed at fixing this, which could use support.

The iPhone running 400b LLM
Ever wondered what it would feel like to learn a language from a native speaker - with no translations, ever? I built a browser extension using local Ollama and Stable Diffusion to mimic what I imagined it might feel like to learn as a child from a native speaker.

What would happen if AI became my native language teacher — not translating words, but explaining them through context, images, and exposure, the way a child learns from a parent? That question became the starting point for a small experiment.
I still can't even that my now nearly 80 year old mom has been on Fedora on a thinkpad e520 (2011) for a decade and it all just works.
I checked her laptop just now and it's fully up to date on fedora 43, so she's done like 20 version upgrades autonomously too. The battery has degraded a little but the whole thing still works fine and she's very happy with it.
This is how things should be, this is peak computing tbh.
A beginner's guide to analyzing the network traffic of apps and websites
In 2025, journalist Zack Whittaker found three popular apps were leaking sensitive user data. This is how he uses network analysis tools like Burp Suite to understand how apps and websites work and share your data. This is how you can, too.
