Flu shot ✔️
COVID shot ✔️

I am extremely grateful for vaccines & the research & people that have led to their development.

That said, the #covid & flu combo I had yesterday were a doozy & I couldn't do much today.

So consider this a PSA: Get vaccinated. And if possible, schedule your shot at a time when you can rest for the next 24 hours or so. /2

@Sheril ive gotten both shots at the same time before.

I didn’t feel too bad after so I’m hoping it goes smooth when I get my shots this year. 🙏🏽

@geotechland I've had a more severe reaction to moderna than pfizer.
@Sheril @geotechland
I got the Pfizer last week, along with the flu shot. It didn't knock me down like it seems to have done you, but the sore shoulder was stronger and longer lasting than I would have expected compared to previous jabs. Not esp bothersome — more of a Do Not Bump.
@Sheril Pfizer seven times, eighth shot in a couple weeks. I plan on a day and a half of not being able to do much at all. It hits me the same every time, but it's worth it. Congrats!
@Sheril We've decided to space them out. Flu last week, CV19 tomorrow.
@Sheril COVID last weekend, flu this weekend. As a public school teacher, I gotta be ready for the germ factory that is the school year!
@Sheril had the same experience, so now don’t get both shots on the same day.
@Sheril how was your reaction to previous shots (both Covid and flu)? I never had any big reaction (except a bit of muscle pain close to the injection spot) - so I‘m wondering if the combo will be different for me,…
@_holger I’ve only had this kind of reaction with moderna, and this was the second time.
@Sheril Got my 8th Pfizer last week & the flu at same time. Expecting misery I had only a sore arm. I usually have some reaction but not this time.
@Sheril - Got that dynamic duo yesterday. Very sore arm, but that’s all I’ve had with any of the shots and thankful for that.
@Sheril Different people react differently to getting both covid and flu vaccinations at the same time. Getting them both had no harmful effect on me, but I read someone here saying she had a similar reaction to what you experienced.
