@detry @rbreich of course that it true. Just trying to make a point.
I think one of the biggest problems is people buying property as an investment where their profit is at the expense of renters. One simple way of talking about this is about people who buy a house and not a home.

Only if “wage” includes capital gains, stocks, etc. What we actually need is a wealth tax.
