On the evening of the 28th of August, we happened to be in Dunedin when there was a minor occurrence of the Aurora Australis and the clouds that had been around for most of the day also happened to blow off to the NE.

We took a quick drive south of the city and found ourselves on a headland overlooking a beach.

Turned out to be an excellent spot for a bit of wide-field astrophotography.
