@ErikJonker I would really like tech people to stop answering "Signal" to any message about "Telegram". 😉
While Signal is a good app for encrypted communication, using it does not guarantee the secrecy. (no app does)
Telegram in fact is something completely different than Signal. The arrest is not even about secret communication, but about "broadcasting channels", lack of moderation and not responding to law enforcement requests.

@stamberry @ErikJonker I think Telegram is best understood as a blogging platform with an instant messaging feature.
