Just play my very first round of #dnd. It was awkward, challenging, and cut short due to my children. But maybe old school gamers were onto something. #ttrpg have something no video game can, easily expanded and new content always.

The down side? Time. For me at least. Man I wish I had more of it.

@chriscochrun You’ll get there. Children will grow older and less time consuming. You’ll start to find time in new places (e.g. building your D&D character while waiting at soccer practice). Hope that helps.
@beepboop that's a good idea really! For now I may see about sacrificing sleep and trying to schedule the session after kids are in bed.
@chriscochrun that’s how I started. Our group would play 9pm-1am after kids were asleep on a weekend night. It was super fun.
@chriscochrun Time is always a challenge; there is never enough time. What’s worked for our group is a set time plus we play online to earn more game time due to no commute. You do what you can though.
