Roland Alton@verge when reading the online debate, most agree that #Telegram is a shady platform. At least larger groups should definitely be moderated. However, nobody there is talking about the #matrix messenger. Even with excellent #opensource distributed E2EE messaging available, it seems that choosing your home server, a username a password and an additional secret is too complicated for the masses. We have to work on an even more slick UX! @chagaifriedlander

Yes I agree, they should be talking more about matrix, beeper already has a pretty good UX but we need to do even better! telegram is probably the most polished UX chat app but it doesn't care at all for encryption, so that's the matrix advantage, encryption, and with the key backup it's by far the easiest platform to use on multiple devices and still be encrypted.
