When you see the word "conservative" in the media, it is ESSENTIAL to understand that it now means "right-wing extremist" --

I doubt that the public at large does understand this. The word certainly does not mean what it did only a decade ago.

This is another example of how Big (and little) Journalism adopted the framing of the radical right.

Today's example is in Politico, which used the word as an adjective describing the rancid Ann Coulter.

The Republican Party has been a #reactionary party since women got the vote and a #revanchist party since Desegregation if not the New Deal.

It is long overdue to revive these terms.

Or reconsider how #GoreVidal dropping the F-bomb the other side of The Pond put it:

"When you foreigners hear the word ‘conservative' you think of kindly old men hunting foxes. They're not, they're fascists."
