Trump gets ho-hum corrections -- often granularly parsed to give him endless benefits of the doubt -- and the fact-checkers don't even pretend to get to every lie.

Democrats get granular parsing, too. But the goal is to find falsehoods and never, ever give the benefit of the doubt.

Fact-checking is a sadly broken both-sides (even when one is lying) enterprise.

@dangillmor I’m no great expert on fact checking methodology but this from the BBC has a certain stench about it. A distinct lack of reference to Trump’s history in the analysis suggests a similar lack of critical thinking to the pro nazi press mentioned by others here. In Trump’s case previous actions speak.
