@v3x A lot of trans folks sublimate their desire to live as their gender so habitually that they sublimate most of their desires—in my case i literally told myself my life was easier if i didnt want things—and then you couple that with the desperation to perfectly perform their assigned gender within their marriage, which ends up making their life about the fulfilling the wants and needs of their partner at the cost of the complete abnegation of themselves.

So this is my exact experience and to some extent still lingers post-transition. I had no idea that was a trans thing. For me, it's a little religious and family trauma too, but it definitely has been a way I've suppressed the need for a sense of self in the past. So good to know I'm not alone, thanks for sharing
