The South Portland Street Suspension Bridge in central Glasgow. Designed by Alexander Kirkland and George Martin, it was built in 1851 to replace an earlier wooden footbridge. When it first opened it cost a halfpenny to cross it.

@thisismyglasgow I never used to go down to the river much, but I'm starting to think I saw it, but it was blocked off. Was it out of commission for a long time? (Late 70's to mid-90's, this would have been.)
