@jfbucas there are many similar rent-seekers in our economy that really provide little value but remain in place just due to inattention, not-well-calculated switching costs and tradition

If I were submitting something to an academic journal, well... Let's just say I'd avoid Times New Roman and use UnifontEX so I don't have to insert as many images.

Having said that, the world of academic journals is a hot mess.
