Damn. YouTube now requires an account to view videos. It says, "Sign in to confirm that you're not a bot". Suppose I logged in to Gmail with no issues. This is what AI is doing. Every platform is getting closed source.

@georgia @nixCraft @Talon1024 it depends on your IP address. If YouTube requires your IP address to sign in, new pipe won't work (as don't work opening your video in incognito mode).

Looks like many Hetzner and DigitalOcean IP addresses (if not all) are affected.

Interesting that if you start video in New pipe and then immediately enable VPN it will continue playing ir.

@georgia @Talon1024 @nixCraft I guess the only way to mitigate it is to create a FOSS YouTube app that will implement account login (like it works now with aurora store).
