Ok is anyone here knowledgable about #WoodWorking? I'm making bat houses and I've been told pressure-treated #wood is bad because it usually includes chemicals that can harm the bats.

I also plan on using an exterior stainer/sealer type on the wood. Can I use pressure-treated lumber if I'm sealing it with the stain/sealer?

@MIfoodie As mentioned before, pressure treated wood is wet. If you seal it before drying, the moisture has nowhere to go and the wood will crack under temperature variations. There are plenty of non-pressure treated options.
