I want everyone to read Noam Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent before they hop on a computer and attempt to do an internet from this point on in life.

@ErickaSimone Agreed. Also, for anyone who wants to get the general idea but in a more digestible form, his Necessary Illusions is a great read and a bit more accessible.

I also am currently enjoying Higdon & Huffs' United States of Distraction, which looks at things from a current, post-Trump perspective.

@hughc necessary illusions. I might be able to use this one for entertainment law. Whew. Thanks for this.
@ErickaSimone fully agreed. I also found "Inventing Reality" by Michael Parenti an enjoyable and enlightening read.
@hko giving me a new book I’ve never read before challenge is ON.
@hko update: the book is 3 billion American dollars online so you KNOW ITS GOOD AF AND THEY DONT WANT ME TO READ IT.

@ErickaSimone Manufacturing Consent is a great piece of work but the complex book is not for the general public at this point in history.

It takes some serious reading skills.

The in-depth documentary ⬇️ is much more accessible, interesting and even entertaining in parts.

Starts with some of Noam's biography then the main ideas in manufacturing.

Anyone into politics & media needs to see this a few times.

Everyone should see this.

@Deixis9 this is fair. It was one of the tougher reads in college but worth it honestly. But someone already suggested necessary illusions so I’m all over this. Thanks.
