If you like to geek out on office spaces, I'd love recommendations for a desk.

In our last two homes I've had a flat surface that was built in, about the size of a door. I love having that much space, but in the new house there's just an empty room to start with.

I think I want an adjustable desk. I'm pretty sure I'll sit most of the time, but I definitely like the idea of being able to stand.

@ehmatthes I got a standing desk base and put my own top on it so I could get a bigger surface. I also find a second desk at right angles to the left very useful.

@ehmatthes I've been happy with this desk from monoprice. I imagine it's on the cheaper end of the spectrum. The load capacity may also be a concern depending on what you choose to do for monitors.

@ehmatthes Ive had this https://store.hermanmiller.com/standing-desks/jarvis-bamboo-standing-desk/2542428.html?lang=en_US for 7 years. I bought it when it was cheaper and before they were owned by herman miller, but it's held up well. I have the 60" which is just enough space. I'd probably get the 72" next time.

@webology @ehmatthes I endorse the Fully also. I’ve used it for about six years now.
@greg @ehmatthes I bought pre-Herman Miller too, and they were cheaper. That's the only negative I can speak to.
@webology @ehmatthes yes and they had more accessories and parts before.

Already linked you Uppeal. They’re kinda niche, all the rest of these are more commodity, most using a few standard Chinese or German motor/leg kits.

@ehmatthes absolutely love my Uplift desk. Controls are great, quality and stability are excellent.
@amethyst @ehmatthes Very much the same. Not currently using it as it’s too big for my home office, but my wife gets the pleasure as it’s her crafting desk now. I miss it, all 80x30" of it.
