I was like “LOL gnome feels the same about Lunduke as I do!” and then they were dicks about it - upholding gnome’s reputation also, I suppose.

So what if some new member posts a link to Lunduke article not knowing about some unwritten rule… and they get banned? Yeah that’s rubbish. Write your rule down somewhere FFS. This will scare off new or unaware users.

Hell, until recently I wasn’t even aware that others disliked the guy as much as I do. The most info I got on him being disliked came from his own articles, which was amusingly helpful.

@eltheanine Hey, as someone who has no clue who this is, do you mind explaining why he's hated and why GNOME is taking a firm stance against him?

@fupanda his posts these days are very click bait, and are I guess a reflection of where modern journalism has gone. Because he’s independent he can say what he likes; and he does. And that’s fine, of course.

But others don’t need to listen, and they’re making that choice. His latest post is super weird too, where he defends being polite about religions and then says he will laugh at your pronouns. I think it’s pinned on his profile @lunduke

@fupanda basically he creates drama where there shouldn’t be, presumably because clicks to his stuff keep him getting paid.
