Yesterday,

my 11yo and I

were exposed to COVID

as a direct result of other people's

collective refusal

to mask up in public spaces

crowded or otherwise.

To all of you who are those people

thank you so very much

for this additional mental and emotional burden

for this sense of dread bordering on panic

for this despair at what could happen

to my child's brain and body

to my brain and body

to my family's wellbeing

to our LIFE.
