There's also the third category: being called weird as a signal that soon there's going to be a punishment for not following expectations.

Really implores you to choose being unhappy (masking constantly), or being ok with being NEETed.

(Examples, being LGQBT+, on spectrum, having an obvious physical difference, opinion etc.)
