@Linux @Tutanota Peertube will not replace the other video sharing platforms until those content creators who need to configure out how to have it support monetizing their works. It is a great and wonderful way to share, but it doesn't support making money well. And I'm not sure that's a problem we want to solve.

@wbpeckham @Linux @Tutanota I send video both to archive.org and (for those small enough) directly to the mastodon server I use.

In my particular case, I am not interested in trying to monetize video as all of it is producrd for non economc reasons and out of general opposition to ad supportee sites
