JoostI love #degoogling but one thing i keep running into is that i'm not able to tell a server that i'm the same user again. Book readers for example, where i can no long synch between devices. Anyone here who has solved that problem? I'd be most greatful
Biline 🏳️🌈@mcc @glyph Does anyone know of a way to render a small software project into static web pages? Like allow browsing the directories, syntax highlight the source files and render markdown. It seems after #degoogling and moving away from blogger, #github is next.

Grégory Gutierez 🌻🎸🐧@sebsauvage Dans mes efforts pour #degoogling je suis un peu bloqué par les SMS... Parce que l'app Messages de Google est redoutablement pratique, en pouvant switcher du smartphone au PC depuis un navigateur et retrouver tous ses échanges bien à jour.
Je rêve d'une app OSS qui me permettrait la même chose (avec sauvegarde sur mon cloud éthique), je pourrais même envisager de payer !

I still have another self-built server with a lot of services, but loosing them one day will not bother my family.
Also, while my wife was not complaining about #SynologyPhotos, I see that she likes iOS Photos app a lot more.
My daughter was constantly confused about why does she have two apps with photos on her phone. So now she will be fine as well.
So I guess I faced the other side of #selfhosting.
Why now? Because we are moving from #Android to #iOS all together. So #iCloud sounds like a good idea now. A lesser evil. Still #degoogling, right? ))
