Before you listen to someone who says "Jasper will be rebuilt".
Remember Lytton. Still not rebuilt. And you also can't rebuild history.
The world could have prevented this. Now we watch towns burn and still there are governments, including our own, making excuses for fossil fuels. Some Judges are putting climate protesters behind bars

Only difference is that Jasper is really iconic, and has Trans Mountain running through - so, Smith will sell to some dick head developer and pay them to turn it into a mountain Disneyland

I moved to Canada in 1972 as a grad student.
We drove to Jasper on spring break, arrived after dark and camped overnight. My first sight of the mountains when i got out of the tent was breathtaking.
I went to Jasper many more times, I can still walk around it all in my imagination.
I remember Conservative Premier Lougheed starting the Heritage Savings Trust Fund in 1979, because he knew that Alberta had to diversify its economy off mining fossil fuels, but his successors pissed it away.
Now their "drill, baby, drill" has turned to "burn, baby, burn", leaving bitter ashes and even more COâ‚‚ in the air.
