I ordered screwdrivers on ali express and they were like “you could pay for shipping, or you could pay $2 for this pack of 75 stickers and get free shipping.” It appears to be a leftovers pack of every “signboard” sticker the factory has ever printed, with absolutely no regard for what it actually says

No, that is not what I was saying.

You basically paid for their shipping cost, and you got a bonus pack of stickers.

When I was young, I would write letters to companies asking if they had any stickers.

An actual human would read the letter, and mail me stickers.

It cost us both a stamp and a bit of time.

@SpaceLifeForm @0xabad1dea One person's trash is another person's treasure. If both parties got something they're happy with, then what's the harm? They were able to move inventory that was taking up space and cover their shipping costs, and she got a bunch of random stickers which are a dopamine boost. Sounds like a win-win to me.

No harm in this case. But there are scam sales where the shipping cost is higher that the actual shipping cost or cost of product. Though, there may be an offer to get free shipping if you order two.
