The rate at which #animals go #extinct has expressed variability through time, and indeed #extinction is natural, however, the speed at which species are going extinct is estimated to be ~1000 times faster than the usual baseline.
#PolarBears require ice sheets to hunt and increased #Arctic temperatures have resulted in polar bears' struggle to find enough #food.
An important factor to consider is that high #carbon pollution nations are choosing this pathway -

#MassExtinction and #collapse are completely avoidable, but we have to #ActNow - the good news is that we have a plethora of readily available #solutions, we simply need to utilize them.
To say this is "heart-breaking" is a massive understatement.
