β€œIn over 30 years of living in the #Arctic, four of those as a biologist working on polar bear projects, and the last twenty as a wildlife photographer, I have only found one dead polar bear. Last year, over a two-week period, we found two polar bears that had died of #starvation”

@anna_lillith there are 3 polar bears and 1 brown bear in the wildlife park just a few km from my home, they were saved from being put down as other zoos in Europe ran out of money to feed them due to the recession (I know keeping them captive in a country they aren't even native to is far from ideal but at least they have been saved)
@anna_lillith Heartbreaking and terrifying.
