Corey Comperatore was killed Saturday at the Trump rally while shielding his family from the shooting.

Joe Biden called Comperatore’s widow, Helen, but she declined to speak with him, citing her husband’s support of Trump.

Trump has still not called the Comperatore family.

@tristansnell i'm gonna cut a grieving widow some slack and say she did not mean to say a phone call from the President of the United States was unwelcome, that she thought it was consorting with the enemy.

I mean, if I got killed, I certainly would not want my wife talking to anyone who drives a Chevy. I'm a Ford guy.

@tristansnell I wouldn’t have taken a call from rump for any reason, because in my lifetime that creep has only ever been mean & self-serving, and a person such as I could only be a prop for his bigger, terrible goals. But his cult really sees him as a decent human, ie can’t recognize decency anymore, views decency as its opposite. Rump is now a convicted criminal & civilly liable for countless shit behaviors, so I had it right. But in her upside down, I get it. Poor thing. Poor kids.
