after 6 years, I decided to leave microsoft. I learned *so* much and I'm forever grateful for my time in the VS debugger team... I was always impressed by everyone that I work with and this was a very hard decision for me.

on other news, I'm super excited that I can finally give my 100% to gamedev now 💖

@isadora
huge step, probably scary
wishing you all the best
@marshall_rya haha definitely scary! thank you :D

@isadora Exciting news, hope it goes very well!

Coincidentally I downloaded your engine yesterday - only glanced so far but it looks very nice.

@MouseByTheSea thank youu!! :D please let me know if you have any thoughts

@isadora I'll try, but I'll have to stop playing Neocity Express first :)

Tiny question - can one run the editor alongside the game, and then edit the data live (both at a file level, and within the editor) whilst the game is playing?

@MouseByTheSea heheh you can sort-of do that by running the editor project and pressing F2 when playing the game. 90% of my workflow is editing c# code and hot reloading it while playing the game (you can also reload shaders and aseprites, but that's only on the latest murder main bits)

@isadora Thanks, I noticed the code and sprite hotloading, which is excellent - iteration speed is everything of course.

I didn't realise F2 was the full editor, I thought it was just a subset of runtime editor-esk window - I need to read the code rather than ask stupid questions :)

My main question - have you thought of a 'fluffier' engine name? :)

@MouseByTheSea hahah not sure! I like to think of the name as a group of crows (with a tiny crow as a mascot)
@isadora congrats!!! can't wait to play neverway. wish you all the best :)
@cuca heheheh thank youu!! :D
@isadora you have done so much awesome work, and it was so great to work with you. Congratulations for everyone done, but also for the super exciting future!!

@isadora Good luck on your fully devoted GameDev journey! 🌱

@isadora thanks for contributing to make VS better! E&C has been a life saver. Good look with the game!

(And may i ask- do you know if there will be someone at MS filling the gap? :)

@ocornut thank you omar!! :D there's a couple of people on the debugger team, but they are not on mastodon or twitter... I'll let you know if I know anything else!
@isadora thanks for the work on an amazing tool!
@isadora thanks for VS improvements, and best of luck in gamedev lands!
