The people who are calling for Biden to drop out are NOT the people who will suffer if Trump comes back in.

@tristansnell
I will vote for whomever the Democratic candidate is, but do you believe Biden has the best chance to beat Trump, given not only his recent public meltdowns but also the potential for more in the coming months?

I have enormous issues with his policies, but right now I'm viewing this strictly in terms of electability.

@freediverx @tristansnell

What meltdowns?

@jztusk @tristansnell
Did you miss the debate and subsequent interviews and speeches?

@freediverx @tristansnell TV POTUS debates were invented for TV. They only exist because TV wants to have them. They don't showcase anything related to the job.

Ask yourself who would build a better *team* to run the country. Look at what former Trump admin officials say about him.

As for frequent *meltdowns*, Trump has them daily, not even close.

@pixelpusher220 @freediverx @tristansnell

What is it you are not seeing. The man is too old.

@RobHadley @[email protected] @tristansnell
Blue MAGA loves to deflect any valid criticism of Biden by rehashing everything we already know about Trump. A reminder that one can oppose Trump and the GOP without meekly accepting all of the DNC's faults without protest.
@pixelpusher220 @tristansnell
You should familiarize yourself with the term Blue MAGA and do some self-reflection.

@tristansnell George Clooney is just another oligarch with many multimillion dollar homes and a yacht who doesn’t want to pay his fair share of taxes. He definitely won’t suffer if Trump comes back in.

Inside George Clooney's property portfolio

Let's take a look through the keyhole of Hollywood actor George Clooney's incredible property portfolio, from his Lake Como villa to his English manor house that he share with Amal Clooney

loveproperty.com
@JeanPoole_AZ @tristansnell of course he's an oligarch. He's one of Biden's best fundraisers. Because Biden is also an oligarch. Biden needs his wing of the oligarchy to back him if he wants to win. They are pulling away. He's finished, and the longer he waits to admit it, the bigger the damage to the Dems. Who are an oligarch party.

@tristansnell Biden argues he deserves to stay in the race because he can beat Trump.

So when can we expect that to start? Because right now he’s losing and every indication is he’s falling further behind. When does he plan to start winning? That’s frankly all any of us really care about.

@dogzilla He'll start beating him in November, during the one and only poll that matters. All that Democrats have to do is vote for him.
@mbrailer If you think Biden’s campaign can last until November without big donor money, not sure what to tell you. I’m jealous of your reality - I’m stuck in one where table stakes for a Presidential campaign is around a billion dollars.
@tristansnell @gemelliz Well … I suspect that in fact the entire world will suffer if Trump comes back, even the Democrats who want Biden to “tep down”.
@tristansnell you’re wrong. They are the ones who wrongly think they won’t suffer. Everyone will be fucked.
@tristansnell You got that right - elites on left and right think they are exempt from consequences...

valid point. Did you ever check out the story about tump's airplane being parked at Dulles hidden from most view sitting side by side with a Russian Govt. airplane for 2 days about June 26 & 27th? A saudi gov't airplane was also there for one of those days. Why were they hiding? What were they up to? Nefarious!
@tristansnell Not really true. More like many of us see the writing on the wall of an imminent Trump victory and aren't beholden to a cult of personality.
@chiraag @tristansnell who do we have waiting in the wings to beat Trump on the left?
@tristansnell This is exactly what the issue is. White upper-class Democrats can afford the luxury of jumping on this silly bandwagon because they won't suffer during a second Trump term, and they don't care much about Americans who are poor, or Black or Hispanic, or LGBTQ, or anyone else at the margins of society who'll be the ones to suffer.

@tristansnell

A modest proposal.

We are informed by our betters daily that Pres Biden is too old, cognitively impaired to continue as President.
I propose that we accept that.
He should resign (abdicate in view of SC immunity ruling?), in favor of Kamala Harris.
Advantages:
1 gets him out of the way now
2 Harris runs as the incumbent
3 She has access to all their campaign funds
4 It is early enough to be on all state ballots
5 A convention floor fight is avoided

If he refuses, invoke the 25th amendment.
Should not be too hard as he has been determined by all the self appointed experts to be infirm and a liability.

It just puzzles me why none of my betters has suggested this

#Biden2024

@chrisU @tristansnell
Might happen in [checks watch] 2.5 hrs. According to France24 there is "chatter" about some announcement in conjunction with his statement about the NATO summit that just ended,
@tristansnell everybody is going to suffer if they let someone who doesn't plan to stay up past 8pm be the champion of democracy.

@tristansnell Oh, don't get it twisted. The one's calling for Biden to drop out WILL suffer. They just won't suffer first.
