Whenever I've planned a cycle tour, reading the experiences of someone who has cycled that area before me is always invaluable. So I always try to do some sort of long form posts about our tours in the hope of paying it forward. I've started that process this time in the same month as finishing the tour so I'm quietly impressed with myself. By way of contrast, I'm yet to finish our France tour of 2015.

Our latest tour took us along the Sea of Japan coast from Osaka North to Aomori. The first achievement is to get to Japan with the world's most awkward piece of luggage - a bike in a box.
