We're quite seriously considering not getting a new car when the current lease expires. While we'll be living in a pretty small town, a cargo bike should serve our family's needs.

What e-cargo bike would you recommend for getting around with two kids (2 and 4)?

Any god / bad experiences with specific bikes? Currently Urban Arrow feels like the top contender.

@lehtimaeki Urban Arrow has been the no. 1 brand in The Netherlands for quite some years now. Also available as bikesharing, so quite robust. I occasionally use them, easy to use, no complaints. New brand coming up (which the local bike shop that I trust sells) is Lovens, you might want to check that one out as well.
@lehtimaeki my good buddy went from being a 2 car family to 1 car around 5 years ago and in the past couple years upgraded to a Riese Muller and loves it. He's running a load60 model.
@lehtimaeki We bought Bunch Bike, a cargo tricycle. It's definitely not in the same league as Urban Arrow but it is 1) US-made, so much cheaper in Canada than bikes made in other countries, 2) has three wheels which was a hard requirement because my wife has never rode a bike so two wheels are out of the question. Eventually I would love to upgrade to UA! Getting a cargo bike was great decision, reduced our car usage so much we might get rid of it at all and use car sharing when needed.
@lehtimaeki bike tow wagon might be a cheaper option. I currently use citycoco style scooter in shopping. Also with wife.
@RealFinoxy yeah, I have a Thule 2 seater which I tow with my E-Bike. It works but it also feels pretty cumbersome. For a real car replacement, I feel that an integrated solution would more closely match the convenience. But yeah, a trailer isn't a bad solution.
@lehtimaeki I can recommend a Riese & Müller Load 70. it serves very well, does not need any maintenance and is fun to ride, even with my 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 loaded into it. It‘s a truly high quality ride.
