I know this is not new news, but Evri are literally the worst.

They've had a parcel of mine apparently just sitting at the local delivery centre for 10 days, and there's no way to actually talk to a human to find out what's going on. So frustrating.

@jamesthomson Recently had an adventure with FedEx involving a delivery driver who refused to actually deliver the damn laptop, so I feel it.

@jamesthomson Our Evri delivery driver regularly claims he delivered at 11:30pm, only to deliver next day without any delivery notification. It seems it’s a side job for him and wow is it annoying.
@jamesthomson They are often leaving parcels on my doorstep without ringing or knocking. Not such a big problem, I’m living in a cul-de-sac, the problem is when they deliver my Hello Fresh and it sits in the sun till I find the delivery confirmation email.
Literally the worst courier in the UK.
@jamesthomson That's longer than I've been waiting for a parcel from Ukraine and they've a war to deal with. To be even more fair to the Ukraine postal service it's been sat in UK customs all weekend.

@jamesthomson November 2022 I had a delayed delivery for my son’s birthday that had been on hold for days. I live abroad and getting through was impossible. Eventually got a photo of proof of delivery of the delivery chap smiling teasing it onto the porch. They have a camera so it also showed him tossing it down the side of the house afterwards.
@jamesthomson The only solution I’ve found this is finding one of their delivery people on a local Facebook group who volunteers to go and intervene and collect the package when it is stuck like this 😢

@jamesthomson It’s got to the point now that if a company makes it clear on website they use evri or yodel or I order once from them and get either I won’t order from that site again.

Using either is treating the customer with contempt. Never quite understood how any courier can be so consistently incompetent and unreliable.

It was naive of Hermes to think a rebrand would change their reputation
