I use a very long spoon when supping with #Google , only logging in on rare unavoidable occasions. I'm now pretty pissed that to view the vast majority of #Youtube videos I'm being asked to login. YouTube videos are embedded everywhere; in news, entertainment, social media sites etc and I'm now excluded.

So folks on #Mastodon, do everyone a favour, please don't link to YouTube videos. Other video hosting like #PeerTube is available.

@geomannie According to google you can dismiss the login prompts they're trialling. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9879569?hl=en so perhaps look for a subtle dismiss method
