Where should I put my game's discussion forum? Steam? TIGSource? Reddit? My own site?

(For more details, here's a Reddit post with the same question that I just posted. https://www.reddit.com/r/IndieGaming/comments/1dobbox/question_where_should_i_put_my_games_discussion/ I'm too lazy to make it into a thread here on Mastodon, sorry.)

@filiph I think a discourse forum could be the 'preferred' medium with a reddit/discord alternative for people who don't want to make yet another account or just want a quick answer.

But while this sounds good I think the reddit/discord alternative would end up becoming the main discussion hub simply because the average user wouldn't want to go through the hurdles of signing up and keeping track of a dedicated forum site no matter how better the UX is.

@arnav @filiph is discord publicly accessible without an account? I will not make a discord account, but I might try to look for answers in public places.
@mvolpato @filiph Discord isn't accessible without an account and that's why a forum should be preferred but a vast majority of the gamers already hangout on discord so a discord community is a matter of convenience for them.
