And unless you only use Linux apps on Chrome OS, you're basically either using Android (Google is watching) or web apps (Google is definitely watching).

Cypher Jack@shanecelis Well MS is also spying on Android applications and website through librairies and trackers. Google also have a vastly used OS used to track their user (Android). Apple do "spies" their users mainly through their services to "improve" them. They also does not have that great privacy practices even though it's way better than MS or Google in many cases. It's just marketing.

bananas_pizza@shanecelis windows: search box sends to msft whatever you write in there, file manager keeps files history and sends it to msft, windows defender knows what software you are using and sends that data to msft, settings apps know everything about your device and send that to msft
Google mobile servies do the same, but they also have access to activity inside of apps that use these services
MacOS and iOS are the same.
