MICROSOFT: Wait, I can explain!

GOOGLE: You spy through the whole OS?? I only spy on the web.

APPLE: Your users know that you're spying?

LINUX: You guys are spying?

@shanecelis lol Google INVENTED spying throughout the OS - android and chrome books exist solely for that purpose.
#surveillancecapitalism #datarape
But yeah, there all at it. Big tech gotta go.

@patrickleavy @shanecelis Yeah, Google definitely spies through Android.

And unless you only use Linux apps on Chrome OS, you're basically either using Android (Google is watching) or web apps (Google is definitely watching).

@shanecelis La razΓ³n por la que Linux es tan ligero es porque no te espΓa πŸ˜‚
@shanecelis if linux isn't spying on me then who does sudo keep reporting incidents to
@aeva @shanecelis the divine sysadmin is watching over you, but s:he never ever squeal on you - according to the Catholic Church.
@shanecelis Google spies through the whole OS on Android πŸ˜‚
@shanecelis @JustineSmithies as Ubuntu showed us the last panel is not exactly accurate. (<cough> Amazon)
@shanecelis
Red Star OS: What exactly is wrong with that?
@shanecelis Google is more like, "what you guys only spy on your OS? We do that on every product from OS all the way to the whole of the web. Soon we will just snoop on your phone calls in the name of 'preventing scams' - our latest trojan horse."
@shanecelis and that's why Google made Android
@shanecelis
Yeah, except with Android Google spies through the whole OS, too.
@pluralistic
@shanecelis Well MS is also spying on Android applications and website through librairies and trackers. Google also have a vastly used OS used to track their user (Android). Apple do "spies" their users mainly through their services to "improve" them. They also does not have that great privacy practices even though it's way better than MS or Google in many cases. It's just marketing.
The meme is funny though :)
@shanecelis
Panel two isn't really accurate given the Android and ChromeOS operating systems, but this is still amusing.
@shanecelis πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Canonical rapidly taking notes
@shanecelis Red Star OS: Allow me to introduce myself... In this gulag...
@shanecelis
Ubuntu Linux: we let Amazon spy on you!

@shanecelis windows: search box sends to msft whatever you write in there, file manager keeps files history and sends it to msft, windows defender knows what software you are using and sends that data to msft, settings apps know everything about your device and send that to msft

Google mobile servies do the same, but they also have access to activity inside of apps that use these services

MacOS and iOS are the same.

Welcome to Linux and microG projects if you crave privacy

@shanecelis
So #ChromeOS suddenly doesn't count/exist? πŸ˜‰
@shanecelis Google does spy through the whole OS (Android) 😎
@shanecelis this is the new β€œMacs don’t have viruses”.
@shanecelis google spies thru Android tho
@shanecelis FACEBOOK: I can spy at the root level.
