Trying out putting my #bike 🚲trailer on an #NMBS train. 🚆
According to their tool, it should be ok...
I know in Aalter that I can use a ramp to get on the platform.
In Leuven I'll have to use the elevator I suppose. Not sure yet if both the bike and trailer will fit in one elevator trip.

Man, it felt weird having my bike on the platform last year and it feels even weirder having my trailer on here as well. Hope all goes well.

For those wondering: I'm going to a meetup of #WelcomeToMyGarden in #Lier
Basically sleeping there in the evening in tents and in the evening a potluck.
I've never actually participated in welcome to my garden before but I know the creator of the other a bit... Honestly just seemed like a good excuse to go camping again (haven't used this in a while)

For those that don't know what it is

Welcome To My Garden

Welcome To My Garden: Free camping spots in people’s gardens for slow travellers. Brought to you by a warm-hearted community of citizens.

Welcome To My Garden
Every time they need to open the special doors on the m5/6/7's to let bikes on, it's always a thing..... I can't help it that I don't know in which wagon the conductor will be and so which wagon I should stand ready for.... I HOPE one day we can just have a thing in the nmbs app so I can alert the conductor that they'll need to open the door at the next station (for getting on).

Never been in Leuven, def not near station. Great bike infrastructure and many cyclists!

Putting my bike and trailer into the elevator did work!
The elevator goes up because there's a walkway instead of a tunnel. And then to go down you can take the downwards spiral to ground floor

@thibaultmol that spiral and the bridge over the tracks are also important in connecting Kessel-Lo with the city center for cyclists. Win-win.
