It is taken out of context, because what he's actually talking about in the broader interviews and speeches where he says this sort of thing is not that he advocates violence, but that we need to take a step back and ask why the violence is happening, and it's happening because the people in power are not listening to people like him when they try to calmly explain the problem, leading to frustration and the eventual feeling that, as talking has fallen on deaf ears, but the situation cannot continue, violence is the only answer.
