Have I ever mentioned how much I love this grape? From a favorite producer, it sports a fresh feel, fine aromatics and flavor. This unoaked dry white is not as flamboyant as some can be, but it is balanced, crisp and elegant. It still has big flavor and nice aromatics, but this year emphasizes structure. It seems to be holding nicely (I usually want to drink these in 3 or 4 years; this will do better). For about $20, it is a perfect summer white. #wine #winesofgreece @alpha_estate
@marksquires I odered a bottle based on your post and am drinking it right now. 2015 vintage, but it's still excellent. Refreshing, crisp and balanced indeed. Thank you for a wonderful recommendation!

@tofu I am really glad that worked out, but keep in mind most people in Greece will drink these within one to three years. Few hold them in general for more than five on purpose. This producer does have unusually good structure for the style, but 9 years is pushing it for the grape.

I don't think I've ever had one that is 9 years old. Moschofilero has the same reputation, of course, and I had one that was over 20 and good... So you never know about stereotypes! #wine

@marksquires That was the only bottle the store I went to had in stock, but I liked it so much that I'm definitely going to look for younger ones now - I'm sure I can find it online somewhere.
